I was born on March 29th 1974 in Sydney, Australia. I have been riding for more than 30 years. I had a lot of success in Australia winning the Australian Young Rider Championships in 1995. Although my family back ground is not related to horses, it became a natural part of my life to be involved with horses every day. In 1998 I decided tocome to Europe to compete against the best riders in the world.
In 2006 my career took off when I became the first rider in the history of Australia to qualifyfor the final of the World Championships in Aachen, finishing fourth. I have since achieved many Grand Prix wins including Brussels, Valkenswaard, London, Zurich, Cannes (twice!), Geneva, Vigo and Doha to name a few. I was part of the Australian team for the World Championships in Jerez, Aachen and Kentucky and I rode in the 2008 Beijing Olympics finishing 9th in the overall individual and team 7th and the London Olympics. In 2011 and 2012 I became the Champion of the Global Champions Tour which goes down in history.
Since the end of 2009 I am the highest ranked female Show Jumping rider in the World. In 2011 I married my long time partner Jan Tops. I have a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the famous fashion house Gucci, which designed a personal riding wardrobe for me. In 2011 I became an ambassador for the luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre. Both brands have a much cherished equestrian heritage.
